The Online Master of Arts in Education with Special Education from Asian College of Teachers (ACT) affiliated to the prestigious European International University (EIU-Paris) seeks to provide all aspirants pursuing the course to become a competent global teaching professional. The course is at par with the global standards which instills new skillset with respect to special education as well as education as a whole. Upon completion of the Master of Arts in Education with Special Education, learners will be able to:
  • Clearly understand the symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Down Syndrome, Autism and various Learning Disabilities.
  • Learn about ADHD and Brain Activation, ADHD and Activity Level and how teachers can identify ADHD symptoms which include signs of hyperactivity indicating a child being overly jittery and restless, inability to sit still during regular activities like eating and reading books, talking and making noise excessively, etc.
  • Gain understanding of the Down Syndrome, know about its history and causes and complications of this syndrome. As a teacher you will be able to identify the symptoms in children with Down Syndrome which will help you in the teaching process.
  • Identify if there is an autistic child in your classroom and you will be equipped to notice a range of behaviours that might hamper the social development of the child. As a teacher, you will be able to help them when they tend to struggle with interacting and communicating with others.
  • Recognize students with learning disabilities and you will get a proper guideline which can aid the children with LD to do well in life by overcoming them. As an educator you need to provide the students with the necessary guidance and help shape their future.
  • Identify the difficulties of the learners in an inclusive classroom where both regular students and those with disabilities are present.

Admission to the Master of Education Leadership and Administration is open to students from all disciplines.

  • English Level – IELTS Level 5.0 or High School study of all subjects in English or at least 55% marks in English in your High School is desired

All our Master’s programs under Faculty of Education have four distinct parts:

  • Part One – Foundation Course which comprises of 10 credits and 2 Subjects
  • Part Two – Core Program comes with 30 credits and 6 Subjects
  • Part Three – Specialization of Subjects comes with 20 credits divided into 4 Specialized Subjects
  • Part Four – Capstone Project which is a reflective research work comprises of 30 credits

To receive a Master’s degree, the student must achieve the following:

  • Complete and successfully pass Foundation, Core and Specialization as prescribed in the program specification.
  • Obtain a score of 50% and above to satisfactorily pass each subject
  • Complete the full program of study in a minimum duration of 12 months, and a maximum duration of up to 24 months. However, those unable to complete the program within the stipulated time will be given a grace period of 1 year and the student would be required to pay a maintenance bench fee to finish his/her degree within that grace period.
  • Students can attend 6 Live Online Webinar Sessions during the entire program from expert teachers at no additional cost.

Degree and Transcript are issued by The European International University, Paris and a program participation letter is given by Asian College of Teachers.

Certification

  • All degrees will be conferred by The European International University (EIU– Paris).
  • Students will also receive a letter of Completion from Asian College of Teachers (ACT).
  • European International University is a private higher education establishment authorized by the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, in accordance to and in compliance with the French Education Act: Code de l’Education Articles L 444-1 to 444-11 and R 444-1 to 444-28.
