Being an early childhood educator I was looking for a course that will allow me to develop, and collaborate with reflective and critical educators. ACT offered me the opportunity to be academically strong, pedagogically skilled, and technologically empowered. Since I have years of experience in people handling and developing team building or leadership programs, I always wanted a course that would add to my potential. I am grateful to ACT for allowing me to get acquainted with a more organized Special Needs Program.

Why did you choose ACT and why did you choose this particular specialization?

The Masters in Education with Early Childhood Education and Special Needs Education (SEN) is a course that is the need of the hour. I chose this specialization to get acquainted with the efficiency of teaching children with various levels of ability in both general and inclusive classroom settings. Having the combination of early childhood philosophy and interactive strategies toward special needs is ideal for capacity building for today's inclusive educators.

What aspects of your studies did you enjoy the most?

The quality of the content makes it a program of international standard as it is very comprehensive and application-based. It is a self-paced program and has a team that is very supportive in giving essential guidance and feedback. Thank you, ACT for this opportunity.

The Perks of Master of Education with Early Childhood Education and SEN

Sonali Malhotra explained that she opted for this self-paced online Masters of Arts in Education with Early Childhood and Special Education course to enhance her knowledge of educational psychology and childhood theories, developmental aspects of children, and their holistic growth. She further continues to highlight the fact that the pedagogical strategies advocate the fact that educators need to be aware of the individual needs of children and should offer resources that cater to those needs to stimulate student thinking.

Since she comes from an Early Childhood background, she got herself acquainted with how to develop strategies to address the different intellectual, emotional, and behavioral needs of young learners. She also learned ways to help young learners work in a self-paced manner level them with appropriate support and intervention and review students who need a slower pace.

The major takeaway of Sonali Malhotra from our course is the proactive and systematic approach to teaching young learners in regular and inclusive classrooms. While having two decades of experience in the education industry, she was happy to explore and apply practical knowledge aptly in the development of curricula and instructional strategies.

Having held many leading positions, Sonali loves the fact that this degree opened up leadership avenues such as the administrator of a daycare or preschool facility, childcare and preschool administrators, managerial roles within the facility, etc.
